Meals are served promptly at 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM and eaten at large tables in the dining room. All meals feature a main entree that is always served by our hosts. Seconds are only served once everyone has eaten. Please only use the containers provided (e.g., do not use salad bowls for ice cream). Students are not permitted to enter the kitchen or food service area at any time.

Breakfast is served each morning from 6:30 to 7:15 AM. Menus vary and may include scrambled eggs, french toast, pancakes, oatmeal, assorted cold cereal, bacon, sausage, hash browns, fruit, yogurt, juice, milk, and coffee. With few exceptions you are responsible for your own breakfast on Sundays.

Students pack lunches for their daily picnicking pleasure each morning during breakfast. Lunches comprise your choice of two sandwiches, one bag of potato chips, one piece of fruit, and one can of soda or fruit juice (although Ed has been known to add something special on occasion). Paper lunch bags are provided (and actually can be used for more than one day), but please consider bringing a Tupperware container large enough to fit the above items and help keep some trees out of the landfill. Tupperware is also an effective way to keep your lunch from getting crushed in your backpack. With few exceptions you are responsible for your own lunch on Sundays.

Dinner is served each evening from 6:00 until 6:45 PM. Menus vary daily and generally include a single hot entree (e.g., grilled chicken, hamburger, bean burritos, spaghetti), vegetables, bread, a basic salad, and desert. Individuals with specific dietary restrictions or needs should contact the Director(s) before camp begins to identify accomodations.

Snacks & In-Room Dining

Please do not take food, plates, silverware, glasses, or coffee cups from the dining room to your rooms. It's a good idea to bring your own insulated coffee mug. There is a coin operated pop machine in the lobby of the Chateau. For more sophisticated needs, there is 7-Eleven about two blocks away and a grocery store a little beyond that.
